It'll soon be Christmas

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I know it's too early to be mentioning the C word. I was thinking about what I was going to write about and realised today was the last bank holiday before Christmas. Oh dear that fills me with dread for several reasons.
Anyway, bank holiday....I've had such a nice day. Busy but relaxed. Managed to catch up on a few bits of work, took some photos and spent some time with my fella. We went for a drive out to Wistow rural centre, mainly for ice cream, but I never need an excuse to visit the gallery and bought a gorgeous light pull by eskimo blue that I've been eyeing up for sometime. I have got a photo of the actual light pull but here is a photo I took a few weeks ago of their work.

Weekend plans

Hello, how's your weekend so far?
I realised I needed to get quite a few things done this weekend and as I had a craft fair yesterday I decided I would book tomorrow off work thinking I'd have two full days to get everything (as if) done.  Oh how things rarely turn out as planned.
I've not been feeling 100% this week, with a lingering cough among other things and then yesterday my annual cold arrived with force.  So after struggling to keep going throughout the day I returned home and soon went to bed.  This morning I didn't feel much better so have spent the day on the sofa updating my website.
So although the to-do list isn't any shorter, at least the website is looking a little smarter with a new look online shop. Lets hope tomorrow I feel well enough to tackle the to-do list.

Mandala

Over a year ago I started a sketchbook for drawing circular patterns.
I have a bit of a sketchbook obsession, always have, that's one of the reasons I taught myself bookbinding. When I was a student I was constantly buying new sketchbooks, each one a different shape, size and colour.
With nearly every sketchbook I start working in I get bored and rarely fill them before starting a new one. So the other day I came across this little square book with lots of mandala style designs in. I'm thinking they could be developed into fab card designs. What do you think?

Buzzzzzz

I really have been a busy little bee this week drawing bumble bees and designing and printing cards. They're now all ready to take with me to Warkton Village Craft Market this Saturday.  It's the sweetest little craft fair run by the lovely Michelle of 'Button it' and Deanne of 'Quirky Boots' and there are always the most delicious cakes for sale and drinks in their vintage tea room.  What more could you want for a Saturday in May?

How exciting!

I won this lovely giveaway at Lobster and Swan.  I can't wait to receive the book so I can be inspired to paint every bit of furniture I own.
