It's Fathers day today so I had to come up with a new design for my Dad's card. I always test out any new ideas on family and friends before selling in the shop or at fairs.
The design I came up with I was quite happy with. I handcut from white card the letters to spell out "Dad" and covered in stripy paper. Great. However I found the leftover piece of card today that i'd cut the letters from and loved the negative shapes i'd been left with. So i've spent the day making "Mum" and "Dad" cards in a selection of colours, i'll get the listed in the shop at some point during the week.

These are great - the shapes are so simple but look really effective with the patterned paper showing through. I hope your Dad loved it!
Wow- these are just beautiful! Sometimes the simplest things can be the most amazing to look at.
